Empower Lives with Yesh Ezra
Welcome to our nonprofit organization! We provide support for individuals facing challenges such as mental illness, disease, single mothers receiving stipends, and individuals in recovery from drug addiction. Our mission is to assist those who are left alone, feeling ashamed and lacking a support network. We step in where family support would typically be available, helping individuals regain stability and independence. Our goal is to empower them to create a better future. Join us in making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
"Whoever visits the sick takes away a sixtieth of his (or her) illness"
We assist with home visits, medicines, psychological counseling,
referrals, medical equipment, and more.
The goal is to facilitate the return to physical and mental health so that (literally) the lonely, the sick, and the destitute will be able to stand on their feet and become proactive in rebuilding their lives.
"Let your fellow's honor be as dear to you as your own"
We go one step further. We provide emotional support and encouragement through the personal touch of our Big Brother/Sister program.
The goal is to restore our clients' self-respect and confidence to face life's challenges with hope and optimism.

"One good word, one meal: Endless impact!"
We alleviate the burdens of forlorn and impoverished families by assisting with rent, Shabbat and Holiday meals, broken appliances, and other special needs according to circumstances.
The goal is that not one of our families will go without sustenance in desperate times when they do not have the means to cope and take care of themselves.

Let Us introduce to you
Eli Bouskila
"You make the extraordinary possible!"
I am Eli Bouskila from Katamonim, Yerushalayim.
We face many challenges including a child in a psychiatric ward for the past 19 months and my disability and struggle to find work. So, we are always in need.
Menachem Persoff has been a tremendous help to my family in every way, providing us with food, making our sons' Bar Mitzvas, offering psychological support and advice, and even dealing with issues with our neighbors.
Yesh Ezra is always there when we've asked for help. I want to express my gratitude to all the donors, and I wish the organization much success.
Our Projects
With much love and care, we add the personal touch with our "BIG BROTHER" PROGRAM of individual counseling, home visits, and referrals.
Health
Medical Support Funds
"Whoever visits the sick takes away a sixtieth of his (or her) illness"
Yesh Ezra subsidizes medications, remedial equipment, medical treatment, and therapeutic services unavailable through the Kuppot Cholim and out of the financial reach of our clients.
Recent examples include a mobility scooter, false teeth, post-operative orthopedic shoes, and bi-weekly therapy sessions. In many cases, we arrange for pro bono treatment, reduced fees for medical treatment, and more manageable payment schedules through our various connections with medical physicians and providers in the field of mental health.
The individuals we assist are confident that we do all in our power to reduce their suffering and restore their well-being.
Meals & Shelter
One meal,endless impact
"One good word, one meal: Endless impact!"
Beyond providing subsidies, coupons, and food parcels that enable those assisted to enjoy their Shabbat and Festivals with their families, we help our clients solve accommodation problems.
For example, we found and set up a cheap rental room in a hostel for a person in drug recovery, we prevented a lone individual from being evicted from his one-room apartment onto the street, and we negotiated with landlords to alleviate the rental payment schedules of our clients until they could work out financial solutions in the longer term.
As Yesh Ezra expands its activities, we are increasingly cooperating with other welfare organizations, assisting us in providing these services to benefit the greater community.
Support
Personal Attention
"Let your fellow's honor be as dear to you as yours."Avot 2:13
In addition to the material support we offer, our BIG BROTHER program ensures that every one of our clients receives individualized support and encouragement. We maintain regular contact in order to establish a warm and professional connection based on mutual trust.
Where appropriate, we visit the homes of those people we assist. The personal touch, empathy, and concern lift the morale of our clients and further enable us to focus on practical measures of handling situations and searching for solutions together.
Wherever possible, we empower our clients to take the initiative and be proactive in the process of getting back on "their own two feet." This mindset has proved itself time after time as we see people who had previously given up hope for the future re-establish themselves and return to some sense of normalcy.
